When a trailer is used regularly, it is possible to add it to the solution to track its usage, maintenance, and automate the entry of certain fields during vehicle identification and safety rounds. In other words, pre-registering trailers in the system saves you from having to enter the trailer's license plate number or mileage*.
Since trailers are not equipped with telemetry systems, the total mileage of a trailer is calculated based on the distance traveled when attached to a vehicle in the drivING application.
Instructions
Use a registered trailer during identification on the drivING application1. Log in to the managING web application ( www.ingtechmanaging.com ) with an Admin account then navigate to the Information page under the Vehicles tab.
2. Use thebutton to add a vehicle or trailer.
3. Complete the form, making sure to indicate the Trailer Type and then Save.
When trailers are pre-registered in the solution, it is possible to facilitate the entry of trailer details. This trick also helps to avoid typing errors when entering a trailer number.
1. Log in to the drivING application and reach the vehicle identification page.2. Select the Semi-Trailer field (1, 2, or 3) to display the keyboard.
3. Press the field Semi-Trailer (1, 2, or 3) a second time and a drop-down menu will display the list of all your trailers. If a trailer is already listed, please clear the field beforehand.
